This activity will examine key findings from a quality improvement pilot designed to learn how IBD nurses in the community can proactively improve the care of patients with IBD.
This activity is co-provided by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and MCM Education.
Gastroenterology nurses, registered nurses, advanced practice clinicians, medical assistants, administrators, and other clinicians engaged in the care of patients with IBD.
Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe ways to individualize IBD management based on disease pathophysiology, treatment options, and patient preferences.
- Explain how to develop and implement quality improvement plans designed around process of care and clinical outcome measures.
- Incorporate quality improvement methodologies to improve key IBD process of care measures identified by national organizations.
