Program Description

This activity will address the management of psoriasis, including setting psoriasis treatment goals and monitoring treatment response to determine when adjustments to therapy are needed; developing tailored, evidence-based treatment regimens for individual patients; engaging patients in shared decision making for improved patient satisfaction; and considering clinical advances while developing treatment regimens for patients with psoriasis.

NPs, PAs, and physicians who are interested in understanding the role of NPs and PAs in the treatment of patients with psoriasis.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Summarize evidence-based recommendations on setting treatment goals and monitoring response to psoriasis therapy.
  2. Discuss comorbid conditions, potential treatment responses, and other patient and disease characteristics that can impact psoriasis treatment selection.
  3. Describe strategies for engaging in shared decision making with patients so that lifelong treatment adherence and patient satisfaction are optimized.
  4. Review evidence on promising new and investigational treatments and therapeutic strategies that may further improve outcomes in patients with psoriasis.
