Program Description


This podcast features a vibrant discussion among six renowned leaders in the management of brain tumors. This multidisciplinary group includes experts in radiation oncology, neuro-oncology, molecular biology, neuropathology, neurosurgery, and neuro-oncology nursing. Listen to their lively and candid remarks about intraoperative and systemic chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and nurse management issues.

Target Audience

This program has been designed for physicians and advance practice nurses who interact with oncology patients.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Assess the concepts and theories supporting currently available intraoperative and systemic chemotherapy agents.
  2. Evaluate the rationale for and evolving role of targeted therapies.
  3. Describe nursing management issues relevant to the care of patients with primary gliomas.

  5. Listen to the presentation before filling out the post-test and evaluation. It should take approximately 30 minutes to listen to the audio and complete the post-test and evaluation.
  6. To receive CME credit, follow the link to the post-test. Successful completion of the post-test and evaluation online will enable you to immediately print a statement of credit. Alternately, complete the post-test and evaluation found on the last two pages of the PDF. Mail the pages according to the printed instructions. A CME/CE statement will be awarded for correctly answering the post-test questions and completing the evaluation. A certificate will be mailed within 6 weeks.
